Sucess At The Open House
Everything was great at the open house at the Natural Nail Cottage…WE had lots of Cider and Cookies, treat bags and door prizes. Ann Smith won the basket full of Spa Nail goodies and Sue Ellen Plom won Pampered You gift bag! Thanks to all of you who came to the open house.

I was cleaning my Salon the other Day and I just wondered… How Clean is Clean when it comes to Sanitation and Disinfection?
How many times have you wondered “how clean is clean and am I safe from bacteria and Viruses?” Ask yourself these questions
Does my Nail Tech sanitize my hands and theirs before they begin work on me?
Are the implements disinfected or just pulled out of a drawer of unknown uncleanliness?
Are you sent to wash in a sink? Are the implements and nailbrushes immersed completely in a sanitizing solution?
Do you see the Nail Tech change the Table Towel just for you?
Does your Nail Tech wipe her nose or face while working on your nails?
Let’s Review the Meaning of Clean.
Sterilization: The use of a chemical procedure that DESTROYS all microbial life
Disinfection: The use of a chemical procedure that eliminates virtually all recognized pathogenic microorganisms but not necessarily all microbial forms.
Sanitation: To wash with soap and water to remove dirt and debris and to reduce the levels of microorganisms to a safe and acceptable level.
Here is how to protect yourself
Wash your hands before and after every service. This is Personal Sanitation.
Take your own clean, disinfected implements.
Ask the Nail Tech their procedure how they clean, disinfect their work environment, including implements.
When you see the disinfection solution for the implements make sure the implements are totally sum urged.
And Lastly, Ask your Nail Tech if the screen on the Pedicure Tub is cleaned daily.
At the Natural Nail Cottage, I sanitize and disinfect all surfaces between each customer and use products that kill all virus including the AIDS virus. The screen on the pedicure tub is cleaned routinely. Prided on a Highly clean environment.
